List of the best Constant Effect Enchants - Elder Scrolls: Morrowind

In Elder Scrolls: Morrowind there are 3 different types of enchants that you can put on your gear and weapons, Constant Effect, Cast on Use and Cast on Strike. Constant Effect and Cast on Use can be applied to both weapons and armor but Cast on Strike is reserved for weapons only.

On this page you will find a list of all the best Constant Effect enchants in Morrowind. I only list items that can be found ingame - if you are looking for a list of the best custom enchants that you can make yourself with Enchant then check out that guide instead.

Ebony Mail

The best chest armor in the game despite being Medium Armor. The reason many people consider this the best chest armor in the game is due to the enchants that it has paired with the high Armor Rating.

Boots of Blinding Speed

Boots of Blinding Speed

The Boots of Blinding Speed are arguably one of the most important enchanted items for you to get in the entire game. Unless you're using a mod that increases your movement speed.... In Morrowind you run sooooo sllllooowwww that it's almost unbearable (and is unbearable for many). These boots will help fix that issue. Just make sure you have a method of resisting the blind when you use them.

Denstagmer's Ring

Denstagmers Ring

Denstagmer's Ring is one of the best accessories you can get for yourself early on in Morrowind because it's easy to get and a fantastic item. I'd recommend replacing it with something better once you get higher level though and can find or create better items.

Hunter's Amulet of Speed

Hunters Amulet of Speed

Hunter's Amulet of Speed is one of the 3 possible rewards that you can claim at the end of the Bloodmoon Expansion Pack's primary story quest. This Amulet as well as Hunter's Amulet of Strength are two of the best Constant Effect necklaces that you can get in the game. Only players who pick up the Enchant skill can replace this amulet with something better since they're able to make something much better.

Hunter's Amulet of Strength

Hunters Amulet of Strength

The Hunter's Amulet of Strength is one of the 3 possible rewards that you can claim at the end of the Bloodmoon Expansion Pack's primary story quest. If you're a character who uses mostly melee this is (possibly) one of the best amulets that you can get for yourself. The only amulet(s) that are better are ones that you create yourself with the Enchant skill.

Mantle of Woe

Mantle of Woe

Mantle of Woe is a decent Constant Effect robe which is useful for casters and some niche situations. If you need a good boost to Conjuration (for something like Summon Golden Saint farming) this robe can help you out with that. Otherwise this robe is typically used for the Fortify Maximum Magicka buff that comes on it.

Marara's Ring

Mararas Ring

Marara's Ring is a powerful early game Constant Effect ring which can be somewhat difficult to get depending on the difficulty you're playing on. All you need to do to get this ring is kill Marara but she can be a tough fight if you're unprepared. The Resist Normal Weapons enchant that comes on this ring is only good for 'weaker' weapons in the game, for more info check out the UESP Entry for this buff.

How to get Marara's Ring

Necromancer's Amulet

Necromancers Amulet

Necromancer's Amulet is a powerful Constant Effect amulet which is obtained by killing Trebonius Artorius in the Vivec Mage's Guild. You can get this item at a very low level and it's a fantastic Constant Effect necklace until you can find something better. The only downside to getting this item is you have to kill the leader of the Mage's Guild which will break a couple of quests. If you don't plan to do the Mage's Guild quest line with this character then you have nothing to worry about though.

Ring of Phynaster

Ring of Phynaster

Ring of Phynaster is a good early game Constant Effect ring which is easy to get your hands on. This ring is a lot like Denstagmer's Ring, each gives you resistances to different things and both are pretty easy to obtain for lower level players.

Ring of Raven Eye

Ring of Raven Eye

The Ring of Raven Eye is a good early game ring which is very easy to get. You'll find this ring along with a couple other decent items in the Hollowed Treestump behind the Thirsk Mead Hall. I personally go out of my way to get this item at level 1 or 2 on almost every character that I plan to use Marksman on since it's the only accessory that buffs your Marksman skill.

Ring of the Wind

Ring of the Wind

Ring of the Wing is a very good early game ring for you to get if you're looking for powerful Constant Effect enchants. I'd recommend this ring to anyone looking to play a melee oriented or Marksman oriented build in Morrowind.

Royal Signet Ring

Royal Signet Ring

Royal Signet Ring is the best item in the entire game. This item was added into the game during the Tribunal Expansion and it is worn by King Hlaalu Helseth who only appears after you've completed some of the Tribunal story along with one of the side quest chains. When wearing this ring you've got a 100% chance of resisting and reflecting all magic attacks and any damage that does harm you is pretty much instantly healed with the health regen.

Dragonbone Cuirass

Dragonbone Cuirass Morrowind

Dragonbone Cuirass is one of the two best Heavy Armor chest pieces in the game, it's tied in Armor Rating with Lord's Mail and arguably has the better enchant. When wearing Dragonbone Cuirass you'll be immune to all fire damage unless and enemy debuffs your fire resistance first. Keep in mind if you're a Dunmer you come with high innate fire resistance and this chest piece will be less useful for you.

How to get Dragonbone Cuirass

Fist of Randagulf (Right & Left)

Fist of Randagulf Rt Gauntlet

Fist of Randagulf Left Gauntlet

The Fist of Randagulf Gauntlets are the best Heavy Armor gloves in the game. Each gauntlet has a powerful Constant Effect enchant which is stronger than anything you can create yourself. Both gauntlets also have high Armor Rating - higher than the Armor Rating shown in my screenshots because my character wasn't a Heavy Armor user.

How to get Fist of Randagulf Gauntlets

Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw

Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw

The Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw is the best helm that you can get for Heavy Armor users. It's got the highest Armor Rating of any helm in the game and it also comes with 2 Constant Effect enchants which are far more powerful than anything else that you can find or create yourself.

How to get Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw

Soscean's Cuirass

Sosceans Cuirass Tooltip

Soscean's Cuirass is a very powerful Heavy Armor chest piece with the highest Fortify Health enchant possible on a piece of gear. If you try to create a Constant Effect enchant of Fortify Health on a Daedric or Ebony chest the most you're going to get is 8-15 (depending on mods). What Soscean's Cuirass lacks in Armor Rating it makes up for in the raw health boost you get.

How to get Soscean's Cuirass

Cuirass of the Savior's Hide

Cuirass of the Saviors Hide in Morrowind

The Cuirass of the Savior's Hide is one of the best Light Armor pieces in the game. It has the highest Armor Rating of any Light Armor chest piece in the game and it has an insanely powerful Constant Effect enchantment which is far better than anything you could create yourself.
