Firiona Vie Farming Locations (106 - 110)
All of these locations will require you to be boxing or to have gear good enough so that you can handle the higher level mobs. If you don't have current expansion group gear or semi recent raid gear many of the locations mentioned in this section will be too hard for you to handle. I recommend you farm something easier until you get the gear needed to handle these locations. Check the earlier sections for more ideas.
Shared valuable loot:
Solo Farming: Arguably the best thing you can farm in the entire game solo is collectible sets that spawn throughout many of the different zones. The more current the zone and the more enemies there that see through invis, the more rewarding it'll usually be to farm them. Here is a list of all the Collection Achievements from TDS - RoS. These are required for the TBL Evolving Item Threadbare Weighted Tabard so they'll retain value in The Bazaar for a long time.
TDS Collections: See the Darkened Sea, The Deep Darkened Sea
CoTF Collections: Hearing the Call, Worlds Apart, Look Into the Future, Separate Ways
TBM Collections: See the Broken Mirror, The Broken Mirror Darkly
EoK Collections: The Combine's Return, The Divided Empires
RoS Collections: The Plains of Kunark, The Ruins of Kunark
Dead Hills, Gribble Heroic Adventures (Marks of Valor + CoTF Gear) - Latent Etheric gear is tradeable and it's good non prestige level 100 gear. It'll almost always be of value on regular servers and Firiona Vie since non prestige gear is hard to come by.
Crypt of Decay, Upper Floors (TBM Augs) - There are two nameds that are worth farming in this zone on the Firiona Vie server, the easiest one is Fieg Adan. He drops a non prestige 2H weapon aug that sells pretty well in The Bazaar. The other named drops Rummagers Bauble, a non prestige aug that's for casters which will always sell in The Bazaar.
Crypt of Decay, Lower Floors (TBM Augs) - Much like the above floors of Crypt of Decay, you'll find a named in the basement named Brightfire which drops a non prestige Heroic Dexterity augmentation.
Crypt of Sul (TBM Augs) - Not only will you find the best non prestige level 100 group gear in this zone, which will almost always be guaranteed to sell on FV but there's also a named which drops the best non prestige shield aug in this zone. His name is Bokon Revel the Reborn.
Sul Vius: Demiplane of Decay (TBM Augs) - There are multiple camps in this zone that are worth it, the best one though is Remnants of the Darkseer. This guy drops a non prestige Heroic Dexterity aug that'll likely always sell on Firiona Vie due to it being one of the most sought after Heroic Stats.
Combine Dredge (TDS Power Sources) - A few of the TDS zones have nameds that drop different Power Sources in them, Degmar is for Damage Casters, Caverns of Endless Song is for Healers and Combine Dredge drops the Tank Power Source. Prior to Ring of Scale this was the best Power Source you could get for a tank. That means this Power Source will hold value for years to come.
TBM Heroic Adventures - Lots of non prestige augs that drop here which you can sell in The Bazaar and the adventures give you collectibles for Lesser Spirit Armor, also sellable in The Bazaar. Of course you'll also get a buttload of Remnants of Tranquility too which you can either sell in The Bazaar or use them in Plane of Health to buy Resplendent Type 5 non prestige augs - which can be sold in The Bazaar.
Lceanium (EoK) - This is the first zone you enter in the Empires of Kunark expansion and it's one of the best places for you to gear if you're 105 - 110 and not well geared. Those of you reading this guide on the Firiona Vie server will find this zone to be one of the most profitable farming locations mentioned on this page. Since 105 is the current Free to Play level cap and EoK offers the best level 105 gear, you have a constant base of customers. Since the gear won't be No Drop on FV, nor are the augs, as you could imagine it's good money.
Scorched Woods (EoK) - Much like Lceanium, players on the Firiona Vie server will find this location to be extremely profitable since it has many different nameds for you to farm, some of them dropping valuable augs as well as gear that can be sold in The Bazaar. Players on regular servers will find EoK zones great places to gear up if they're lacking in gear.
Kor-Sha Laboratory (EoK) - This zone has a few good camps in it with a lot of different hunting options. On regular servers I recommend you pick the camps with more trash mobs that way you have a better chance of finding expansion wide rare items. Firiona Vie players will want to pick camps that drop augmentations.
Infiltration of Kor-Sha & Mysteries of Kor-Sha (EoK) - These are two Heroic Adventures given to you by Praetor Gilfol in the Gates of Kor-Sha. Throughout these Heroic Adventures you'll find a unique set of collectibles that can't be found anywhere else - which is the most profitable part of doing these missions for players on regular servers.
Goblins and Fools (EoK) - Much like the above two tasks you'll find a unique set of collectibles that drops during this mission which you cannot find anywhere else. On regular servers since much of the gear/items that are valuable are NO DROP - this offers you an alternative for making money.
Frontier Mountains (EoK) - The Sarnak enemies drop collectibles but they're usually always heavily camped from my experience and their collectibles aren't worth much because of it. Alternatively, the large giants in the center of the zone drop an item called Giant Lymph Node which ispart of the Methods of Sarnak Destruction EoK partisan quest. Thus, this is arguably the most valuable/best camp to farm.
Gates of Kor-Sha (EoK) - The Sarnak enemies in this zone drop Korshan Sarnak Scales which are part of the Methods of Sarnak Destruction EoK partisan quest.
If you find some of these locations too difficult I highly recommend that you start boxing an extra character or two. There is no better way to increase how much plat you can make an hour than leveling up your own 6 box team and boxing current expansion locations.
With programs like Isboxer or Macroquest2 boxing is accessible to every player in the game and it'll allow you to do anything you want in the game without having to find a group or bug people for help. If you're interested in boxing, read my Boxing Guides to get started and have the entire process broken down for you bit by bit. (Note: Both of these programs are not allowed on True Box servers)
There's also more to farm than just plat in Everquest! The Omens of War expansion adds in permanent resist increases, Dragons of Norrath adds in a lot of passive permanent boosts and when Call of the Forsaken Hits, completing all of an expansions progression tasks will reward you with Hero's AAs. For more information about all of these permanent passive increases and how to obtain them head over to my Permanent Stat Boosts Guide.
Finally, the last thing worth mentioning is that there's also different clickies that you can get for your character that'll be forever useful. Overhaste clickies like Ancestral memories or the Circle of Power clickies. Even a Haste clicky for melee characters that don't box an Enchanter can be pretty nice. Head on over to my Useful Clickies Farming Guide for more information about what clickies you can farm and from where.
