Castle Mistmoore - Post Mercenary Leveling Guide

If you're in your teens you'll want to stay around the entrance area of Castle Mistmoore. There are plenty of mobs for you to kill around the zoneline which is a good thing since chances are you'll be overwhelmed once or twice while hunting here depending on your level and gear. The mobs here run FAST and at relatively high HP, until your tank merc is close to their level it can be quite dangerous hunting here.

The upside is that it's fantastic money early on hunting here. Platinum will spill into your pockets from mob drops as well as tons of different vendor trash drops from the enemies themselves. I recommend you only pick up the items that stack - the weapons and armor may be worth more but they're going to weigh you down really fast. The stackable items will actually vendor for more per inventory space once you get 5 or 6 of them!

Around the entrance area you'll want to avoid the Gargoyles nearby the tower until you get higher level - these guys are way harder than all the other enemies in the area. Once you reach level 20 you'll want to slowly start moving your way north through the tunnel marked 20 - 25 on the map above.

I wouldn't recommend you push ahead far enough to the area marked "Graveyard" on the map above until you're level 25. The pulls start containing 3 - 5 enemies each once you make it to the Graveyard which will be extremely difficult if you're undergeared or your mercenary and you are underleveled.

The area past the Graveyard takes an even larger difficulty hike and I'd recommend you don't go over there unless you have a group or are boxing. The first few pulls leading up to the castle have 5+ enemies and they all run at like 40%. It's extremely annoying for a noobie.

You can stay in Mistmoore from level 18 all the way up until level 35 if you'd like. Another location for this level range is of course Paludal Caverns which will be a bit tougher than Mistmoore. Then you can head straight from Mistmoore to City of Mist which is another fantastic location for making plat.

Additional Information

- To reach Castle Mistmoore take the Felwithe PoK Stone and travel through Lesser Faydark.

- This zone gets revamped during Hardcore Heritage on live servers (or I would assume any TLP that's unlocked RoF).

- If you're having trouble managing your Inventory Space I highly recommend you invest in some Extraplanar Trade Satchels which are 32 Slot Tradeskill Bags. Alternatively you could also buy Unexpanded Tailored Backpacks as well. Though, the Backpacks will likely be more expensive. Follow the links provided to learn more about each item.

- If you need more plat while leveling I strongly recommend you check out my How to make more plat while leveling by Bartering Guide. It'll give you a list of all the different items you should be keeping an eye out for to Barter/Sell!
