Skies of Arcadia Legends: Discovery Locations 71 - 80
This page covers Discovery Locations 71 - 80. These discovery locations take place in all three different parts of the sky and are exclusive to Skies of Arcadia: Legends. Unlike what you might imagine you won't find all of these locations at the end of the game - many of them are spread out throughout the game.
Once you complete one of these discoveries don't forget to return to a Sailor's Guild and sell the Discovery Information you acquired to them. Depending on the discovery you made it usually will net you a decent amount of Gold.
If you wait too long though another Pirate will make the discovery which greatly devalues how much the Sailor's Guild will pay you when you make it.
71th Discovery Location - Tricyclone
Head on over to Gordo's Bistro in North Ocean and drop down low into Mid Sky. Turn your ship directly south and start flying; what we're looking for is a mini tornado which has an extremely long patrol path from the Bistro down to the bottom of North Ocean. It's found pretty close to the bottom of the Mid Sky floor and you can see it from quite a distance. Downside is it's pretty fast and annoying to catch.
72nd Discovery Location - Map of the Ages
This Discovery Location appears as a small gray rock that flies around one of the deserted islands north of Nasrad. The object we're looking for is pretty small but its unique color makes it stand out amongst the surroundings. If you're having trouble finding it lower your ships altitude to the bottom portion of Mid Sky.
73rd Discovery Location - Balloon Seed
This guy flies around in an odd shaped triangular pattern nearby Skull Rock and Crescent Isle. With Skull Rock at your back you'll see two floating islands - with these in view keep an eye on the area and it'll float right past here in usually no time at all.
If you'd like to more aggressively pursue the Balloon Seed it flies from Skull Rock south to Crescent Isle and then from there to Daccat's Island. Normally it's found around the top of Mid Sky but when it's by Crescent Isle it usually dips down. Considering how much you fly around this location and to Crescent Isle throughout the game - you're likely to run into this Discovery Location at one point without even needing to pursue it.
74th Discovery Location - Ice Lens
In order to find this location you'll want to head over to the Icebird Discovery Location (#31) and travel almost directly east from there. You'll quickly come across some mountain peaks, the Ice Lens Discovery Location is found on the one to the left.
75th Discovery Location - Paper Airship
Another hard one... The Paper Airship can be a pit of a pain in the butt to find considering it's the size of a fly and that makes it extremely difficult to spot. You'll find it flying around the northwestern region of the Lands of Ice near the Mid Sky cloud ceiling.
76th Discovery Location - Mirage Island
Mirage Island is found just south of the large gates of Valua. It's a small greenish blue island that bobs up and down between Lower Sky and Mid Sky so you'll have to fly close to the cloud floor to find it. From Mirage Island you'll be able to see the lights of Valua in the distance to the east (as seen in my screen shot).
77th Discovery Location - Ryuguu Turtle
The Ryuguu Turtle can be found flying around Tenkou Island in the northeastern portion of the map. He's a semi small brown turtle that flies around the area in an oblong square shape. The easiest way for you to locate this guy is to enter Tenkou Island and save your game at the entrance.
Reset your game then load your saved file; leave Tenkou Island and fly directly southeast. It shouldn't take you very long at all to spot this big guy.
78th Discovery Location - Sky Ladder
The easiest way to reach the Sky Ladder is to start at the Maw of Tartas in Valuan Territory. Once you're at the Maw of Tartas raise your ship into upper sky and you'll notice a mountain peak to the north/northeast. The Sky Ladder can be found atop this peak.
79th Discovery Location - Ryuguu Island
Ryuguu Island is found right around Discovery Location #77 Ryuguu Turtle and Discovery Location #55 The Mother Tree. Much like we did for #55 if you start at Tenkou Island and travel directly southeast while spamming the A button you should encounter Ryuguu Island fairly quickly.
80th Discovery Location - Tomb of Ice
The easiest way to find Tomb of Ice is to start on top of the Ice Lens. Raise your altitude up above the cloud ceiling and fly straight east. A brief distance away you'll find a mountain peak, ontop of this mountain peak is where the Tomb of Ice lies.
