Rogue Class Guide

Rogues are masters of the shadows, being able to sneak around and ambush their enemies without them knowing a Rogue was even coming. Rogues gain Stealth at level 1, which is the best ability they have. It allows them to sneak around without being detected, You can't always get by without being seen though. Hunters can see you and bring you out of Stealth with Flare and Track Hidden. Also if you get to close to your target they may be able to see you in Stealth.

Rogues are also the only class in the game with the ability to use poisons. There are 6 unique poison types (Below is more information on poisons). Depending on what you're fighting will determine what poison you should be using. Rogues also have more unique abilities since they are able to stealth, like Pick Pocket, Distract and Sap. Sap is the rogues most saught after Crowd Control ability.

Many people confuse rogues for being easy to kill, but that is completly wrong. As a Rogue you have many abilities to save yourself in a tight situation. These abilities include Sprint, Evasion, Cloak of Shadows, Blind and Vanish. If you enjoy playing a Lone Wolf character, and enjoy being all Assassin like then you'll enjoy the rogue.

Below is a list of Poisons and what they do. I've also included the best time to use which poison.

Wound Poison: Wound Poison decreases healing your target takes by 50% and also causes 231 damage to your target. This is the most commonly used poison in arena along side of Crippling Poison.

Crippling Poison: Crippling Poison decreases your targets run speed by 70% for 12 seconds. This is the only slow a Rogue has making it one of the most important poisons to keep on your weapon at all times.

Deadly Poison: Deadly Poison should only ever be used in PvE since in PvP it will break any Crowd Control you try to put on the target.

Anesthetic Poison: Deals 218 to 280 Damage to your target and also has a change to dispel an enrage effect from your target. This poison may be useful for some encounters, but is rarely used.

Mind-numbing Poison: Mind-numbing Poison increases your targets cast time by 30%. Mind-numbing is only good against casters, and you have to make sure the caster actually has to cast a lot of spells. For example don't use it against a Druid where most of his spells are HoT's anyway.

Instant Poison: Instant Poison instantly deals 245 Nature damage to the target. This is one of the most commonly used poisons for raiding.

Rogues Strengths:

- Able to Stealth

- Able to Pick Locks

- Rogues have a ton of Escape tactics, Incapacitates and Stuns available to them

- Easy class to play and grasp the concept of

Rogues Weaknesses:

- Everyone and their mother, and there mothers mother plays a Rogue. This will make it hard to find groups.

- Hard to get noticed as a Rogue since the class is rather basic to play
