           This page here will share minor tidbits, tricks, cheats and hints about Zelda: A Link to the past. As with many of the other guides on my website these are designed to be very google friendly. If you're stuck, and googling to to get done a certain part of the game, that's hopefully how you found this guide!

Items from the Cursed Fairy

           In order to reach the Cursed Fairy towards the end of the game you'll need to first clear the Ice Palace so you can purchase a Super Bomb from the Bomb Shop Owner. After you've purchased a Super Bomb you will want to drag it back to the Pyramid of Power where you'll find a crack. If you don't already know where the crack is then search this area first! Anyway, leave the bomb right in front of the crack to blow a hole in the wall then enter and you'll find the Waterfall of Wishing.

           You can throw items into the Waterfall of Wishing and receive upgrades in return. If you toss in your bow and arrows and admit doing so the fairy will reward you with Silver Arrows which are required for your final fight with Ganon. If you toss in an empty Magic Bottle the fairy will return you a Green Potion.

If you've acquired the Tempered Sword you can throw that into the Waterfall of Wishing too and get a Golden Sword in exchange!

Flute Boy's Bird

           Once you get the Flute in A Link to the Past you can use it at the Weathercock in the center of Kakariko Village in order to call the duck who will offer to teleport you to one of many different locations. The first time you play the flute he will appear the second time he'll swoop down and take you to any of 8 different locations in the Light World. Here are all of the different locations he can teleport you too.

1. Death Mountain

2. Witch's Hut

3. Kakariko Village

4. Link's House

5. South of Eastern Palace

6. Desert of Mystery

7. The Swamp Ruins

8. South of Lake Hylia

Collecting the Fourth Magic Jar

           In order to obtain the fourth Magic Jar in A Link to the Past you must bring the chest you find in the Dark World towards the end of the game in a Demolished Building back to the man in the Light World who sits next to a sign post and tells you to leave him alone. You passed him much earlier in the game. He's a thief who will pick the lock for you and open the chest. In doing so you'll obtain the fouth and final magic jar.


Chris Houlihan's Room

           After you've maxed out all of your equipment, collected all of the crystals and beaten Ganon... So pretty much beat the game, you can go to the Light World and over to the castle. If you head around it over to the secret entrance you fell through at the start of the game and fall through again you'll find yourself in a room with 255 rupies and a triforce tile. The Triforce Tile reads "My name is Chris Houlihan. This is my top secret room. Let's keep this between us, OK?"

There's nothing else in this room, leaving it will put you in Link's house. To gain access to this room again you'll need to beat Ganon.
