Consumable Items

Tonic: Restores 50 HP to one character.

Mid Tonic: Restores 200 HP to one character.

Full Tonic: Restores 500 HP to one character.

Ether: Restores 10 MP to one character.

Mid Ether: Restores 30 MP to one character.

Full Ether: Restores 60 MP to one character.

Hyper Ether: Restores all (99) MP to one character.

Elixir: Restores all HP and MP to one character.

MegaElixir: Completely restores HP and MP of entire party.

Power Meal: Acts as a random restoration item, thus restoring a random amount of HP and/or MP to either a single character or the entire party.

Lapis: Restores 200 HP to entire party.

Shelter: Restores HP/MP to the entire party.

Shield: Cuts physical damage by 1/3.

Barrier: Cuts magic damage by 1/3.

Revive: Brings a character back to life with 50 HP.

Heal: Cures all status ailments of one character.

Magic Tab: Permanently raises a character's magic stat by 1.

Power Tab: Permanently raises a character's power stat by 1.

Speed Tab: Permanently raises a character's speed stat by 1.

 

Non-Combat Items

Bike Key: Required to complete the game. Allows you to race Johnny on the JetBike in Laboratory 32, or pass through the required ruins on foot.

Broken Hilt: Required to complete the game. The hilt of the Masamune.

Broken Sword: Required to complete the game. The blade of the Masamune.

Clone: Required to complete the game.

Chrono Trigger: Required to complete the game. The time egg. It allows you to alter the course of one moment in time.

Dream Stone: Required to complete the game. Allows you to mend the Masamune.

Jerky: Required to complete the game. This item can either be sold, or used in an optional quest.

Fang: One of four tradeable currencies acquired from killing monsters in 65M B.C.

Feather: One of four tradeable currencies acquired from killing monsters in 65M B.C.

Horn: One of four tradeable currencies acquired from killing monsters in 65M B.C.

Petal: One of four tradeable currencies acquired from killing monsters in 65M B.C.

Gate Key: Required to complete the game. An item created by Lucca that allows you to travel through time at will, you'll only notice it when you first receive it and later when it gets stolen.

Masamune: Required to complete the game. The legendary sword.

MoonStone: A required item for an optional sidequest.

Naga-ette Bromide: This item will not appear in your inventory after it has been acquired.

Pendant: Required to complete the game. The magical artifact that starts the journey, it later allows you to open sealed chests and doors.

Prism Shard: A required item for an optional sidequest. A piece of the rainbow shell which proves King Guardia's innocence at the second trial.

Race Log: Allows you to record your scores and compete for prizes, including a Power Tab if you make a score of 1500 or more.

Ruby Knife: Required to complete the game. A knife that is thrown into the Mammon Machine in 10,000 B.C. that transforms into the Masamune.

Seed: Required to complete the game. A required item acquired from the food storage unit after defeating the Guardian. You give it to Doan in 2300 A.D. after learning about The Day of Lavos.

Sun Stone: A required item for an optional sidequest.

Toma's Pop: A required item for an optional sidequest.

Tools: A required item for an optional sidequest.

Yakra Key: Allows you to open the locked chest in Guardia Castle 1000 A.D. and free the real chancellor after Yakra XIII has been defeated.
