(Druid) Stranglekelp Farming in STV/Ashenvale

Note: This guide may or may not be out of date for the 2019 Classic WoW Release. I am currently in the process of updating all of my old WoW Classic Guides, the updated version of all these guides can be found by following this link: WoW Classic Farming Guides (2019 Update). Within the next 8 - 12months, after all of my guides are updated, this page will be deleted.

Starting at level 16 as a Druid you will have access to Aquatic Form. This form will allow you to swim around underwater with unlimited air and almost base run speed. If you're a low level druid and looking for some money then Aquatic Form might just come in handy for you. All around the southern point of Stranglethorn Vale you will find Stranglekelp, which is a plant that only grows in the water. It is commonly used in the Alchemy profession for a slew of different useful potions.

As a Horde Druid you will want to take the zeplin from Orgrimmar to Grom'gol and jump down into the water. From here you will want to follow the shoreline south towards Booty Bay. On your way to Booty Bay you will probably pick up a few nodes of Stranglekelp. Once you reach Booty Bay you will want to turn around and swim all the way back to Grom'gol. As Alliance you will follow this same path but instead start at Booty Bay. As you get higher in level you can venture out east, to the other ocean, but I recommend staying on the western side of STV if you're planning on staying alive. There is also one additional place for Horde players (maybe Alliance too, depending on how suicidal you are) to farm for Stranglekelp...

The Zoram Strand in Ashenvale! Granted the Zoram Strand isn't available to both factions nor is it as good of a farming place for Stranglekelp as STV it is worth noting. If there is already someone farming in STV or you're just not having a lot of luck there then you can always come to the Zoram Strand. For Horde the chances of you getting ganked here are pretty low, it really depends on the time of day. As for Alliance, the chances of you getting ganked here are pretty darn good.

Not only do many Horde come here for quests and even somtimes to farm Clam Meat, (look that up in my farming guides, it is actually a pretty darn good thing to farm!) but you will also pass many Horde on their way to Darnassus and Exodar for the; "For the Horde!" achievement.
