Fishing Achievement Guide

Grand Master Fisherman: Become a Grand Master Fisherman. You're required to be at least 350 skill in order to train Grand Master Fishing.

Illustrious Grand Master Fisherman: Obtain 525 skill points in Fishing. You will be reaquired to have at least 450 skill in order to train Illustrious Grand Master Fishing from a Cataclysm trainer.

The Old Gnome and the Sea: Successfully fish from a school. There are little puddles of waters around in bodies of water. When you mouse over them, they will tell you what is in them, or they may contain junk. Cast your lure into one of these puddles and successfully catch something from it.

The Scavenger: Successfully fish in each of the junk nodes listed below.

- Steam Pump Floatsam (Zangarmarsh, central lake around the Steam Pump)
- Bloodsail Wreckage (Coast of STV)
- Schooner Wreckage (Hillsbrad Foothills/Wetlands also in Stonetalon, near the venture co.)
- Waterlogged Wreckage (STV River, Theramore Beach)
- Floating Wreckage (Feralas Shore)

The Fishing Diplomat: Fish something up in Orgrimmar and Stormwind. Any pool of water in either of these zones work. The easiest place to do it in Orgrimmar is behind the Waterfall in The Valley of Honor. The easiest place in Stormwind is to take the boat from Howling Fjord to Stormwind, once you're here jump off find a safe spot and fish in the water. Of course you can fish anywhere in Stormwind if you're alliance and anywhere in Org if you're Horde. The two locations I listed are for opposite factions.

Master Angler of Stranglethorn: Win the Booty Bay or Kalu'ak fishing contest. Every Sunday there is a Fishing contest in STV and every saturday the Kalu'ak hold a fishing contest. What you need to do for the Booty Bay fishing contest is fish up 40 Speckled Tasty fish from STV and bring them back to Riggle Bassbait first. For the Kalu'ak fishing contest you need to fish up a Blacktip Shark from any pool in Northrend where you can catch Pygmy Suckerfish. Holiday Weekends are the easiest to do this in, since not that many people are participating.

Mr. Pinchy's Magical Crawdad Box: Fish your way to My. Pinchy's Magical Crawdad Box. Mr Pinchy is a very rare catch from a Highland Mixed School in Terokkar Forest. Every 3 days Mr. Pinchy will grant you a wish when you right click him. You'll get a random item of 5 different items. One of the items can be Mr. Pinchy's Crawdad box.

One That Didn't Get Away: Catch one of the rare fish in the list below. Requires you to catch at least one very rare fish.

Old Crafty: Fish up Old Crafty in Orgrimmar.

Old Ironjaw: Fish up Old Ironjaw in Ironforge.

Deadliest Catch: Fish up Ghaz'ranka in Zul'Gurub using the Mudskunk Lure.

The Lurker Above: Fish up The Lurker Below in Serpentshrine Cavern. You can waterwalk to the Lurker Below's area, stealth and what not. Once you get to his area just start fishing. Obviously you're going to die when you summon him, but you get the achievement.

Fish Don't Leave Footprints: Learn the ability to find fish. You're required to fish up a one of the "Junk Trunks" and open it. Take out a [War-Beaten Journal] and use it.

A Penny For Your Thoughts: Fish up all of the copper coins in Dalaran's Fountain.

Silver In The City: Fish up all of the silver coins from the Dalaran Fountain.

I Smell A Giant Rat: Fish up the Giant Sewer Rat from the Underbelly in Dalaran.

Turtles All the Way Down: Fish up a Sea Turtle mount from any fishing pool in Northrend. You must fish in a pool that contains fish. What I mean by this is make sure you have your lure land in a specific fishing area.

1000 Fish: Catch 1000 fish.

The Coin Master: Complete "A Penny For Your Thoughts", "Silver In The City" and "There's Gold In That There Fountain". After you complete these 3 achievements you will get this one.

Accomplished Angler: Complete all of the fishing achievements on this page.
