Maw of Madness
The Maw of Madness is a Chaos and Empire tier 4 scenario. This scenario is only able to be played in when "Chaos Wastes" is contested. The game type played in this scenario is Murder Ball. The objective of this game is to have your team hold on to the Murderball and prevent the enemy players from taking the Murderball. The team that reaches 500 first, or with the most points after 15 minutes wins.
Number of players: 12 v 12
Hold the Murderball: 3 Points Per Tick
Kill the Player Holding the Murderball: 20
Kill Someone While Holding the Murderball: 10
Kill an Enemy: 10 Points
Duration: 15 Minutes
Levels: 28 - 40
Things To Keep In Mind
- Killing the player with the Murderball awards more points then killing a player without the Murderball.
- If you're not durable and have a team mate that is nearby allow him to pick up the Murderball, not you.
- Holding the Murderball will put a DoT affect on you.
- There are three Murderballs in this scenario, one close to the destruction spawn, one close to the Order spawn and one smack dab in the middle.
Safe: Grab the Murderball closest to your camp and don't get far from your camp. Usually the best thing to do here is get near the ledge by your starting area and have the healers up top heal you down below.
Suicidal: Grab the Murderball then push your way to the enemies starting point. Once you've did that grab the second and third Murderballs. Now... kill anyone that apposes you!
Normal: Grab the Murderball and duke it out in the middle, don't push towards the enemies team. If you don't push, you won't risk death. But won't get better rewards =)
Tanks: You will be the optimum Murderball Carrier for this scenario. Remember not to be to gung-ho and always make sure you have healers behind you before running in.
Melee DPS: You're the second choice for a Murderball Carrier (Make sure you're durable). If you don't see anyone grabbing it, get in there and scoop it up. You will need to play a lot more safe as a Melee Murderball carrier. Only attack the opposing team if they come into your front lines, You're to squishy to fight them on their own turf. If you don't grab the Murderball, focus on your enemies Murderball Carrier
Ranged DPS: Focus on the enemies Murderball carrier if they are trying to play it safe. Otherwise take out their healers and any ranged DPS that is squishy.
Healers: Always keep your Murderball Carrier or carriers alive. They are the most important people to keep alive. After them you will need to keep yourself alive, other healers and anyone else.
The best way to earn renown in the Maw of Madness is to grab all 3 murderballs and laugh at the opposing faction. This is a scenario centered around killing the enemy team, there for it has the potential for being some of the best renown. Healers will really have to be on their A game to make it work in this SC, however.
