Dragon Quest 8 Alchemy Recipes

Dragon Quest 8 Alchemy Pot

Early on in the game you're given the Alchemy Pot which can be used throughout the majority of the game (whenever you're near your horse and carriage) to create more powerful items from the ones you already have. A majority of the best items in the game are created through Alchemy & you can also use the Alchemy Pot to make an item long before you can buy it in a town.

Much like my full walkthrough for Dragon Quest 8, I have broken up the Alchemy Guide into 12 different Chapters. Each Chapter covers a different part of the game and the Alchemy Recipes you can make with the items you have available during that part of the game.

Chapter 2 Alchemy Recipes (Peregrin Quay, Maella Abbey, Simpleton, Ruined Abbey, Riverside Chapel)

Chapter 4 Alchemy Recipes (Swordsman's Labyrinth, Hilltop Hut, Castle Trodain)

Chapter 5 Alchemy Recipes (Ascantha, Land of the Moles, Mole Hole & Side Activities)

Chapter 6 Alchemy Recipes (Baccarat, Northwest Isle/Dark Ruins, Argonia, Royal Hunting Grounds)

Chapter 7 Alchemy Recipes (Argonia Bazaar, Dark Ruins, Arcadia, Rydon's Tower)

Throughout the game you collect new monsters, recruit them to your team and advance your ranks in the Monster Arena!

A reward for winning one of the earlier ranks is an ability called "Call Team". It allows you to change out your team in battle for your Monster Arena team.
