Space Invaders is a classic arcade-style shooter game released in 1978 by Taito Corporation. In the game, players control a spaceship at the bottom of the screen, moving horizontally to shoot rows of descending aliens. The objective is to eliminate all the aliens before they reach the bottom of the screen.
