Castlevania Controller Layout & Button Combos

Controls:

D-pad: Move left, right, crouch, and climb stairs
A button: Jump
B button: Attack with your whip
L button: Subweapon (hold and press D-pad to select subweapon)
R button: Item crash (uses all hearts)
Start button: Pause the game and access the inventory screen
Select button: Use equipped item

Here are some of the button combinations:

Jump Kick: Press A while in the air
Slide: Press Down + A while running
Backflip: Press A while jumping backward
Whip Uppercut: Press Up + B
Whip Dash: Press Forward, Forward + B
Axe: Press L + Up
Holy Water: Press L + Down
Cross: Press L + Forward
Stopwatch: Press L + Backward

Note: Some of the subweapons require specific button combinations to use, such as the boomerang (hold B and press Forward), the dagger (hold B and press Up), and the holy rod (hold B and press Backward).
