Shadeweaver's Thicket - Luclin Leveling Guide

Shadeweavers Thicket

The Vah Shir starting zone, Shadeweaver's Thicket has quite a large level spread compared to most noobie zones. To get started you'll want to hunt enemies around the Shar Vahl zone line/the small town in Shadeweaver's Thicket, as with almost all noobie zones you stay in this area until about level 5.

Once you reach 5 you'll want to travel all the way up to the northeastern portion of this zone which is where you'll find the next spot we're going to level up at. There are two types of enemies up here, a lesser shade and skeletal hunters. A lesser shade drops Swirling Shadows which is a valuable Tradeskill component that drops only off Luclin enemies. This enemy also drops Shadeling Silk, though that's less valuable.

The lesser shades are good to grind until levels 8 - 10 which is when they'll start conning dark blue and light blue to you. I very strongly recommend that once you reach this level range you skip out on the rest of Shadeweaver's Thicket and go straight to Paludal Caverns.

If you're dead set on Shadeweaver's Thicket then you'll want to travel to into the tunnels as if you were heading to Paludal Caverns and hunt the enemies that you find in here. I recommend you stay in the tunnels and avoid the big rooms if you're solo as they're packed tight with enemies.

Aside from the tunnels, you can also try to Loda Kai camps which I have marked on my map above. I'd recommend you avoid the western side of the zone though as it has some higher level rockhoppers that roam over here.

The areas I have marked red on my map above you'll also want to avoid if you're lower level. They have some really tough mobs in these locations and a lot of them to boot!
