Argin-Hiz - CoTF Leveling Guide
Argin Hiz is one of two Tier 2 CoTF zones and is most definitely the better one to EXP in. There's two camps which I would recommend to people hunting in Argin Hiz, the first camp is all the way at the southern end of the zone right where you zone in.
The light blue circle on the map shows the place you'll be hunting at! In this circle you'll find a bunch of different animal enemies which are spaced out enough that you'd have to be careless to overwhelm yourself. You can also snare/kite them around as they do not summon if I remember correctly. If you don't have a full group I don't recommend you go much deeper in - this place is hard!!
All the way up north where you see my green circle and the #2, that's my favorite camp in this zone - Master Sage Lowenn. This is a really difficult camp and it'll be challenging for a full group at this level because of how annoying this named is.
Basically what he does is summon two adds every 10% HP and if you try to DPS him down and fail you'll get a TON of adds. You *can* blow him up really really really fast and get no adds which is usually what I do. Though, one mistake and I wipe - which happens to me pretty commonly!!
Master Sage Lowenn drops Sage's Light which is a really good Heroic Dexterity Aug for this expansion and a few expansions to come. Master Sage Lowenn also has a rare chance of dropping Shroud of the Forgotten, an evolving back item.
In addition to the other loot listed, each CoTF named will drop <Piece of Armor> of Manifested Ether. These are used in crafting CoTF Tier 2 gear which is marginally better than Latent Etheric and is Prestige. Due to the fact that it's prestige it is worth considerably less than Latent Etheric armor.
- You reach Argin Hiz by clicking on a 'burnt tree' in South Ro. For more information on this Burnt Tree and its location check out my how to reach Argin Hiz guide.
- There are four sets of collectibles in this zone that you can find belonging to the Separate Ways/Burning Bibelots Achievements.
- Each named in Argin Hiz has a chance of dropping Burning Sash of Ro.
- There are rare items unique to Call of the Forsaken called chase items. For an Advloot list of all these chase items that you can use on your own characters head over to my CoTF Advloot Chase Item List page and copy and paste it into your own LF_AN file. More info about how to do that is found on this page.
