EPL Larval Acid Farming Guide (Classic - WoTLK)

Carrion Devourer

The only location that you can farm Larval Acid at in the entire game is from the carrion worms in Eastern Plaguelands. Both the Carrion Grubs and Carrion Devourer enemies drop the Larval Acid, Grubs have a 5% drop rate and Devourers 7% according to Wowhead. A good way to remember it is, the higher level the enemy the better the drop rate.

Larval Acid is an ingredient in a few different recipes but most notably it's used in Hide of the Wild (BiS Healer Cloak until Aq40), Swift Flight Bracers (Great Hunter Bracers), Enchant Gloves - Threat and all of the Sandstalker Gear (Mail Nature Resistance gear for AQ).

I'd recommend that you farm the higher level Carrion Devourer enemies in the eastern/northern portion of Eastern Plaguelands. Use my map below for the best farming location in the zone (in my opinion), you can however farm anywhere that you like since all of the worms here drop the item.

Larval Acid EPL Farming Location

Players with gathering professions will make the most gold per hour farming Larval Acid in EPL. Since this is one of the end game zones you'll be able to find all of the most valuable Herbalism and Mining ingredients. I'd recommend that every 15 - 20 minutes, or whenever you get bored of farming run one big loop around the zone and gather everything you find then go right back to farming.
