Mission 2: Destroy Mighty Railgun Greta - Medal of Honor Walkthrough

Medal of Honor is broken up into 7 missions and each mission will have different levels, all of which take place on a different map with unique objectives. There are 4 levels in total for Mission 2 and this is the first time you'll be using the 'stealth' mechanic in this game. Keep in mind that stealth is not mandatory, as you can see in my video guide. If you would prefer, you can shoot your way through these missions too. There is no penalty for using your weapon, but you'll need to get mostly head shots to conserve ammo.

Level 1: Sneak Into The Rail Station

 

Objective 1: Switch Tracks

Objective 2: Obtain Ausweis Blau "ID Blue"

Objective 3: Obtain Ausweis Rot "ID Red"

This is the first stealth/undercover mission of the game and it's very linear, mostly just a tutorial on how this mechanic works. Make sure you always have the badge equipped (unless you plan to get shot at) and show it to every guard. Flash it at them as you run by at the bare minimum, almost every guard you get close enough to will ask you for this ID.

When the mission starts you can only go one way, go down the stairs and up the ladder to find a guard next to a terminal (he's at the end of the catwalk). You'll need to take out this guy and activate the terminal next to him. If you show him your ID first you can get behind him for an easier time. Another thing to note is the silenced pistol is a very weak weapon, you should really try aiming for the head if you don't want a miserable time.

Activating the terminal will complete objective 1, also the ID Blue is found right in front of the terminal so that's both of those objectives complete. Return to the area where we started the mission and go across the hall/up the stairs. Show your new ID to this guard to be let through. Head across the hall and climb through the air vent on the ground (crouch to go inside), this will lead you to a new room where you'll need to do some more shooting.

Take out the guard in this new room, loot the ID Red from the ground and leave the room via the door. Show your new ID to the guard to your right and he'll open the door that leads to the end of this mission.

 

Level 2: Find The Gift Package

 

Objective 1: Steal Freight Manifest

Objective 2: Obtain Ausweis Rot "ID Red"

Objective 3: Find Gift Package

Objective 4: Disable Reserve Engine

Objective 5: Follow Rails To Rail Tunnel

At the start of the mission go down the stairs and go left to find the Freight Manifest on the wall. Head down the opposite hallway now and past the large green chest near the rails. You'll find a large gray door which looks like a wall, approach it and press the action button to open it (when you approach it you'll get a prompt too, letting you know that it's a door... Apparently they knew this door would be hard to see).

The next area has a few guards, the main thing you're looking for is the table pictured below with the guard standing next to it. Objective #2: Obtain Ausweis Rot "ID Red" is done here, however, once you pick up the ID the guard will start shooting at you and alert the whole place. For this reason it's normally best to be the one who initiates combat.

 

From this point of the mission onward you'll be engaging in combat. Head outside of the rail station and go left, you'll find a guitar case here which is our package (a rifle). Now that we got a much better weapon, head back towards the start of the level and go through the door to your right after you pass the green crate again. You'll find a large train in here which you'll need to plant some bombs on (Objective #4). Once that's done you can return to the outside area with the train tracks and follow them down to the end of the mission.

 

Level 3: Rail Canyon

Objective 1: Procure Grenades

Objective 2: Destroy Fuel Containers

Objective 3: Exit Canyon to Railgun

The first two objectives of this mission are found by following the side roads when you see the number 1 and 2 signs. At sign #1 you'll find a short detour into a gun nest, inside you'll find the grenades. Sign #2 will take you to a dead end with a bunch of Fuel Containers (pictured below). Shoot them a few times to set off a chain reaction which completes objective #2.

Now all that's left is to complete the mission. Keep following the train tracks down until you get to the sign marked 3, this is a gun nest which is difficult to deal with. My recommendation is to throw a grenade inside of it, if that doesn't work, while aiming with your rifle hold the side button to lean to one direction.

The next obstacle for us is a split in the road, go left to avoid a frontal assault with a machine gun nest. Left takes you up a hill and to a hole which gets you behind the machine gun. From here, go into the dark hole to complete the level.

 

Level 4: Meeting Greta

Objective 1: Destroy Railgun Greta

All you need to do for this mission is follow the train tracks down until you reach Railgun Greta (pictured below). There will be four red boxes on her that you can place explosives, do this and then run away to complete the mission.
