Gaia Seed: Project Trap is a horizontally scrolling shooter video game developed by Techno Soleil and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released exclusively in Japan for the Sony PlayStation console on October 2, 1996. In Gaia Seed: Project Trap, players assume the role of a pilot controlling a futuristic fighter spacecraft called the Gaia Seed.

The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity faces extinction due to environmental degradation and warfare. Players must navigate through various stages, battling against waves of enemy spacecraft, mechs, and bosses.
