Final Fantasy IV is a role-playing video game developed and published by Square (now Square Enix). It was initially released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in Japan in 1991 as Final Fantasy IV. The North American release, titled Final Fantasy II, followed in 1991.

Later, it was released for various platforms under its original title. The game follows the story of Cecil Harvey, a dark knight who embarks on a quest to stop the malevolent sorcerer Golbez from seizing powerful crystals and wreaking havoc upon the world. Along the way, Cecil is joined by a diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique abilities and backgrounds.
