Thalassius Swarming Guide
This is the second zone right after PoFire and it is by far the worst zone you'll be swarming in ever. I absolutely hated Thalassius and everything I had learned from PoFire before seemed to completely fly out the window here. I thought I was swarming wrong the entire time I was here in Thalassius because almost every single mob here summons and I had no idea how horrible that is when it comes to swarming. Also, most of the mobs here stop a little far back and cast on you, so whatever you do don't DoT mobs here or make damn sure that the mob is in your face before you start casting DoTs. If not, well, it will summon you with your back to the entire pack. Imagine what comes next.
The pathing behind Thalassius is pretty easy, you'll do one side of the zone and then the other side. At least that's what I always did. The best tip I can offer you for this zone is the oozes here don't summon. As I was running through the zone I always dotted up the oozes as much as possible that way they would already be at 70% at the very start of the pull and have the greatest chance of giving me Mortal Coil when I needed it most.
To get started lets look at the left end of the zone, the first side I usually pull. I made a map which you can see below going over how I pull it.
I pull the first room you come out to, then start pulling every other little room all the way down till where you see the blue line end at the end of orange. If you continue pulling here mobs will start to leash and you'll lose some of your pull (the worst, most stupid thing you can do on an SK is start to lose your pull). Kill everything here and then you'll continue through the yellow and stop at the final room there where you'll kill any remaining mobs left. That's all there is to pulling the left hand section of Thalassius.
You may still lose some mobs pulling this part of Thal, it depends on a lot of things, the key is to not lose whole chunks of the pull like a whole room or two, or three etc. What I do with any mobs left up is kill them for a chance to proc Mortal Coil on my way to the next pull. Now lets take a look at right Thalassius.
For this half of Thalassius you'll wanna start at the top (pull the main room like you did last time, but this time you'll start from the opposite side). Follow my blue line until it ends in the corner (sometimes I stop at a corner in the big room, depends on what you feel like/if you're losing mobs). After you kill them all you'll continue along the next blue line. After that one you can go through the rest of the area until it dead ends up that is totally up to you. Sometimes I did it, sometimes I didn't. If I knew the other side of Thalassius was up, going along it for another short pull was a waste of time.
Also another option is to invis to the end of the second blue line, and start pulling from there, continuing down south until you dead end in the big room. That's pretty much all there is to Thalassius!
