PoFire Swarming Guide

Plane of Fire will be one of the very first things you swarm as a Shadow Knight and will give you a real taste of what SKs can do with swarming. After doing this zone for a few hours I was hooked on the whole swarming idea. PoFire can be broken into two different sections, you'll be camping C2 and the open area between C2 and C1. You'll be able to pull all of these mobs (not at once) and still be waiting on respawns. To start you'll want to pull C2. You'll have to pull this in sections since the mobs will leash back if you're not careful.

With so many casters in C2 it makes it a bit of a pain in the butt to pull them effectively. I usually kill C2 in pieces, I'll pull 10 - 15 and get them all really low, get a MC proc and then pull another 10 - 15. Rinse and repeat. I usually do the back room first with not many, with the first floor of C2. I try my best to pull the mobs through the buildings which will agro the other mobs inside. I stop the first pull at the first floor of the castle. After enough die I run up to the top floor of the castle and back into a corner there.

Kill these until enough are dead and then run around the whole outter rim of the castle, you'll follow this all the way around to the opposite end where you'll pull the top cubby and then park yourself in a corner at the bottom of the cubby. Here is where you'll want to finish killing all of the mobs.

After you do C2 it will be time to do the field surrounding C2. This is my favorite part because none of the mobs out here summon unless they're a named/raid boss and there are just so many mobs to kill. I don't find a corner for this part of the swarming, instead I just stop whenever I feel like I have enough mobs and they're lagging too much to pull more. Also this works well if you pull a lot, then damage them enough to almost guarantee a Mortal Coil proc when you stop again.

What I like to do is pull half the field, kill some of it/get a Mortal Coil proc again then pull the other half. Or, pull half of it and kill enough of it to stop the pack from lagging so bad and then pull more. Either strategy works here just fine. Below is a picture that I like to follow for this strategy, the blue line is the first path I take and I stop where it ends (up by the birds). After that I continue onwards with the green line.

That's pretty much all there is to swarming in PoFire. I doubt you'll use my exact pathing, you'll probably alter it a bit to fit your own needs/what you like to do. That's just common when doing stuff like this, we alter things to make them fit us perfectly.
