Everquest Farming Guides

Farming in Everquest is a highly subjective and ever changing aspect of the game. One week a location might be hot and the items you get selling off the shelfs and another week you might be unable to sell anything you farm from that area. What I typically do is alternate between locations that give me items to sell in The Bazaar. This way I stock up on almost everything so I always have something to sell.

The areas that I mention on these pages are locations that I personally use to farm when I need something/want plat. It'll be up to you to determine whether or not they're good on your server and/or whether or not you'll be able to handle the location with your character/box team.

To make things easier for everyone and reduce the amount of scrolling around you have to do, I have split the farming guide up into multiple parts, sorted by level. To see all of the farming locations for that specific level range, click on the "Level XX - XX Farming Locations" link.

Levels 50 - 80 Farming Locations

Level 50 - 80 Farming Locations

I don't recommend these locations to anyone unless you're just starting out in EQ and are looking for ways to afford new Defiant Gear, Spells, Bags and all the other things you'll need. The amount of plat that you'll make at these locations are extremely low in comparison to the plat you'd make if you just get another 20 - 30 levels.

Levels 81 - 90 Farming Locations

Level 81 - 90 Farming Locations

You have some decent farming locations available to you during these levels - still not much but it's a lot more than the previous locations. If you're boxing one or more characters then you'll be able to farm some locations that also give you EXP.

Intricate Defiant Gear (All zones 55 - 65)

Levels 91 - 105 Farming Locations

Once you make it to this level range, things really start to pick up with what you can farm and how much plat you can make. If you aren't boxing any characters, you might not be able to handle many of the locations talked about in this section while you're in this level range. You'll be able to handle some of the locations on the lower end of the spectrum, but not the harder ones that make people the best money.

Levels 106 - 110 Farming Locations

Depending on your servers loot rules heavily determines where you'll want to farm at. Players reading this guide that play on any live server with regular loot rules will still make some of the best money possible farming TDS or CoTF for Attuneable Gear. The EoK and RoS expansions don't drop any non prestige attuneable gear which makes CoTF and TDS the last places to get droppable gear for many levels and many expansions. This means that this gear will most likely forever hold value.

Level 110 Farming Locations

Level 110 Farming Locations (Firiona Vie 110 Locations)

This section is for players who are level 110 and geared half way decent. Basically if you're boxing and not able to handle RoS content you'll find these locations to be too challenging. Those of you who aren't a boxer - you'll have better luck in the 106 - 110 Farming Locations mentioned above.
