Following in the Footsteps - Secret Note #3

Xixi and I spend our days gathering wood and stone to construct a house to live in along with defenses against the hostile animals in this world. Still no memories of who we were prior to arriving in this world have returned to us… however, Oddly enough, we still have knowledge from whatever came before this. I can recall words and things like a movie or a phone and Xixi understands these words but neither of us can conjure a mental image of what these things are nor are we able to describe them.

We’re both simultaneously knowledgeable enough to recall the words but too ignorant to describe what the words mean or what objects they belong to. This same phenomenon happened to us last week as well, we joked about needing a horse and cart to make traveling with supplies easier. Neither of us could describe these objects until i crafted a set of bronze nails — at which moment memories came rushing back to me and I remembered what a cart was.

Xixi had the same experience as I when touching the bronze nails and she also recalled a similar experience when touching the flesh of a boar and deer. It seems the mysteries of this world run deeper than I originally imagined.
