Towers are one of the easier buildings to create in Valheim but they can still come with their own set of problems depending on how you want to design it and what your experience is with building. The first and most common problem you'll run into when building a tower is that in order to build the tower higher than all of your other buildings you'll need to use Wood Iron poles to hold up the walls. Of course you can build some towers without using Iron -- it depends on your own personal preferences. For me personally, the point of a tower is to be tall and I don't believe you can achieve the proper height without using Iron.

In my experience the second most common issue when creating a building like this is trying to make it round. At the time of writing this guide there are no circular build pieces in Valheim and the only way to make a round structure is by placing the square or rectangular pieces in such a way that it appears oval.
