Kingslayer: Weapon Rune Word - Diablo 2

Kingslayer is a very powerful Rune Word to put into a Sword or Axe. It offers you a 33% chance to Crushing Blow which deals a % of the monster's current HP. Against bosses this is one of the most desired things for a melee fighter. Open Wounds is a nice DoT along with the other bonuses like Attack Speed, Attack Rating, Strength it's easy to see why this weapon is popular amongst melee builds.

Vengeance is another unique skill that this Rune Word provides. It gives you the Paladin Vengeance skill which adds elemental damage to all of your attacks. Your + Skills on your armor will benefit this ability as well.

Keep in mind that all Rune Words you create will retain any pre-existing bonuses found on the item. If you find a 'Superior' piece of armor with +Enhanced Defense, a Superior Weapon with +Enhanced Damage or a Helm/Weapon that has +Skill bonuses for a certain class, all of these will remain on the final Rune Word that is created. Farming High Runes: Out of all locations in the game one stands above the rest for farming specifically High Runes, the Countess during Act 1.
