Ice: Missile Weapon Runeword - Diablo 2

Ice is a high level Rune Word that is designed for Amazons who specialize in Bow and Crossbow Abilities, specifically Freezing Arrow or Cold Arrow. This Rune Word lowers your enemies Cold Resistances, increases your Cold Skill Damage and also gives you a high level Holy Freeze Aura.

There are other useful benefits on Ice too but the aforementioned ones are the main reason players choose this Rune Word. As with all Rune Words, if you Socket Ice into an item that has pre-existing bonuses they will remain on the finished product.

Keep in mind that all Rune Words you create will retain any pre-existing bonuses found on the item. If you find a 'Superior' piece of armor with +Enhanced Defense, a Superior Weapon with +Enhanced Damage or a Helm/Weapon that has +Skill bonuses for a certain class, all of these will remain on the final Rune Word that is created. Farming High Runes: Out of all locations in the game one stands above the rest for farming specifically High Runes, the Countess during Act 1.
