Eternity: Weapon Rune Word - Diablo 2

Eternity is one of the few Weapon Rune Words that offer the Indestructible affix which means you're able to put this into an Ethereal weapon without it breaking. However, you will not be able to Replenish the Revive charges that are on this weapon if you do that... So keep that in mind.

When compared to the other Weapon Rune Words that offer the "Indestructible" affix this one is much more defense oriented. It also comes with Cannot Be Frozen which will allow you to free up your Raven Frost ring slot, something most people overlook when deciding against using this Rune Word. Usually this Rune Word isn't chosen for endgame melee builds because there are better ones out there; however classes or builds who primarily cast and melee sometimes may find this Rune Word useful.

Keep in mind that all Rune Words you create will retain any pre-existing bonuses found on the item. If you find a 'Superior' piece of armor with +Enhanced Defense, a Superior Weapon with +Enhanced Damage or a Helm/Weapon that has +Skill bonuses for a certain class, all of these will remain on the final Rune Word that is created. Farming High Runes: Out of all locations in the game one stands above the rest for farming specifically High Runes, the Countess during Act 1.
