Brand: Weapon Rune Word - Diablo 2

Brand is a very powerful Rune Word that is popular amongst Bowzons due to all of the damage bonuses that it grants along with the 100% Chance on Hit Bone Spear proc. It also comes with the Knockback affix that helps all Bowzons get more shots off while kiting.

The Amplify Damage proc that comes on this bow is useful but typically you won't get many proc's against the hardest targets that you'll be fighting since you'll be doing your best to not get hit. Something to remember is that since this weapon Ignores the Defense on a target any +Attack Rating that you have on other equipment will be useless.

Keep in mind that all Rune Words you create will retain any pre-existing bonuses found on the item. If you find a 'Superior' piece of armor with +Enhanced Defense, a Superior Weapon with +Enhanced Damage or a Helm/Weapon that has +Skill bonuses for a certain class, all of these will remain on the final Rune Word that is created. Farming High Runes: Out of all locations in the game one stands above the rest for farming specifically High Runes, the Countess during Act 1.
