EarthBound, also known as Mother 2 in Japan, is a role-playing video game developed by Ape Inc. and HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. It was released in Japan in 1994 for the Super Famicom and later in North America in 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The game follows a young boy named Ness as he and his friends journey through a surreal and humorous world to collect melodies in order to defeat an alien threat known as Giygas. The game is known for its unique blend of humor, satire, and emotional storytelling, as well as its unconventional gameplay mechanics, which include a rolling health meter and a rhythm-based battle system.

Infinite Rock Candy

This is one of the more commonly known cheats for Earthbound. You will want to keep the Rock Candy in one of the two bottom slots in one of your characters' inventories. During battle you'll be able to use it an unlimited amount of times to increase your stats but you also have to use a condiment with it, preferably something like Jars of Delisauce or Sugar Packets. They will increase one of your stats by 2 instead of 1.

Easy Money In Twoson

Inside the hotel in Twoson there's a man sitting at the table. Each time you speak to him his response will change, keep bugging him about 20 times in total and he will eventually fork over 50$ to you.

Easy Level Ups

A really easy way to level up in Earthbound is by fighting Criminal Caterpillars in the Scaraba Desert. You'll want to search around the desert to find these guys and they'll run from you - so you'll have to chase them down for a fight. If you manage to engage one you'll automaticall win and be given around 30k xp!

Tip for Avoiding Battles

You can keep exiting/entering an area to reset the location, type and even quantity of monsters in the nearby area.
