The 7th Saga is a Japanese role-playing video game developed by Produce and published by Enix (now Square Enix). It was released in 1993 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The game features seven playable characters, each with their own unique strengths and weaknesses, who must embark on a quest to locate seven magical runes before the evil ruler, Gades, can get his hands on them and use their power to take over the world.

The game features turn-based combat, random encounters, and a complex leveling system that requires players to balance their character's statistics carefully. The 7th Saga is known for its challenging difficulty, with many players finding the game to be punishingly difficult. Despite this, the game has become a cult classic among SNES enthusiasts and is considered one of the defining RPGs of the 16-bit era.
