Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen Guides and Walkthroughs

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen, initially titled Dragon Warrior IV when localized to North America, is a role-playing video game. It's the 4th installment of the Dragon Quest video game series developed by Chunsoft and published by Enix, and the 1st of the Zenithian Trilogy. It was originally released for the Famicom on February 11th, 1990 in Japan.

The game was remade by Heartbeat for the PlayStation, which eventually was available as an Ultimate Hits game. This was followed by another remake developed by ArtePiazza for the Nintendo DS, released in Japan in November 2007 and worldwide in September 2008. A version based on the Nintendo DS remake for Android and iOS was released in 2014.

Dragon Quest IV differs from the rest of the series by breaking up the game into five chapters, each of which focuses on a different protagonist or protagonists. The first four are told from the perspective of the Hero's future companions and the fifth one, from the Hero's perspective, brings all the characters together as they start their journey to save the world. The PlayStation remake adds a sixth chapter, which is retained in the DS remake.

Mini Medals Sidequest

Mini Medals Sidequest

A staple in the Dragon Quest franchise is the Mini Medal Sidequest. Throughout the game you'll often find Mini Medals in hard to reach places which can be exchanged at the Minikin's Dominion for rare loot. Collecting all the Mini Medals will net you about 10 different items in total, some of it even being the best loot in the game!

Hank Hoffman Jr's Frontier Town Sidequest

Hank Hoffman Jr Frontier Town Sidequest

Starting during Chapter 5 you will be able to work with Hank Hoffman Jr (the kid you meet in the desert and get the carriage from) to build a town in the same place the Desert Bazaar was during Meena and Maya's chapter. Throughout the game you will periodically be able to upgrade this town but you won't be able to actually complete it until you've beaten the game.

Liquid Metal Sword Sidequest

Liquid Metal Sword Sidequest

One of the best swords in the game, the Liquid Metal Sword, is obtained by completing a short and rather simple sidequest. Aside from having some of the best attack power in the game for a weapon this sword also deals more damage to Metal Slimes, rare monsters that give a buttload of EXP if defeated.
