Baseball Advance Controller Layout & Button Combos

Controller Layout:

D-Pad: Move player, aim pitch (when pitching)
A button: Swing bat, select pitch (when pitching)
B button: Throw pitch, throw ball to base (when fielding)
L button: Change pitcher (when pitching), move infielders (when fielding)
R button: Change pitcher (when pitching), move outfielders (when fielding)
Start button: Pause game, confirm selection
Select button: Display pitch type (when pitching), display player stats (when batting)

 

Button Combinations:

Pitch Selection: A or B button
Power Meter: Press A to start the meter, press A again to stop it for maximum power.
Change Pitch: Press L or R button before starting the pitch selection
Pick-off Attempt: Press the A button and the directional pad to pick-off a runner
Run: D-pad left or right to advance or retreat; D-pad up to run
Slide/Dive: Press L or R button to slide or dive
Swing: A button to swing
Bunting: B button to bunt
Check Swing: Press A or B button before the swing
Base Stealing: D-pad left or right to lead-off; D-pad up to steal
Pitchout: Press L or R button and the A button during pitch selection
Substitute Pitcher: Press L button twice during the pitching sequence
