Ridge Racer is the first game in the Ridge Racer series, developed and published by Namco. It was released on December 3, 1994, in Japan, and on September 9, 1995, in North America. This arcade racing game was a launch title for the original PlayStation console and was known for its fast-paced gameplay, impressive 3D graphics (at the time), and catchy soundtrack.
