Future Cop: LAPD is a third-person shooter and vehicular combat video game developed by EA Redwood Shores and published by Electronic Arts. It was released on September 16, 1998, in North America. In Future Cop: LAPD, players assume the role of a pilot controlling a futuristic police mech called the X1-Alpha. The game is set in a dystopian version of Los Angeles in the year 2098, where the player must combat various threats to the city, including gangs, terrorists, and rogue robots.
