Phoenix Card - FF8 Guide

To obtain the Phoenix Card you'll need to complete the Queen of Cards Side Quest. Once you lose the Doomtrain Card to her you'll be able to obtain the Phoenix Card from the Presidential Assistant in Esthar (pictured above).

Unlike all of the other Rare Cards, you can't win the Phoenix Card from any of the Card Club Group onboard the Ragnarok during Disc 4. Every card that's a reward in the Queen of Cards Side Quest is unique and can't be acquired any other way.

You can Card Mod the Phoenix Card into 3 Phoenix Spirit items which teach a GF the Revive command. Alexander learns this ability naturally and basically it does the same exact thing as the Life spell. In addition to this, you can also refine the Phoenix Spirits into four different things, all of which are below.

(F Mag-RF) Phoenix Spirit: 100 Firaga magic

(L Mag-RF) Phoenix Spirit: 100 Full-Life

(Recov Med-RF) Phoenix Spirit: 100 Phoenix Down

(GFRecov Med-RF) Phoenix Spirit: 40 G-Returner
