Advance Wars Controller Layout & Button Combos

This page includes the Controller Layout and button combos available for Advance Wars on the Gameboy Advance.

 

Controller Layout:

D-Pad: Move cursor on map
A: Select unit or menu item, confirm action
B: Cancel action or back out of menu
L/R: Cycle through units on map
Start: Open Pause menu
Select: Switch between map view and information view

 

In Battle:

D-Pad: Move unit on map
A: Attack, select attack type, select target
B: Wait, cancel attack
L/R: Cycle through units on map
Start: Open Pause menu
Select: Switch between map view and information view

 

Special Moves:

L + R: Quick Save
L + R + Select: Quick Load
