World of Warcraft Enchanting Profession Guide Enchanting is one of the primary Tradeskills in WoW. What I mean by this is, someone has to be an enchanter for you to maximize your characters potential. With Enchanting you will be able to put powerful Enchants on your weapons and armor. You will also be able to put similar Enchantments on other peoples armor. When you train Enchanting at a trainer you will also gain the ability to Disenchant items. This is another very useful skill. You will be able to Disenchant Uncommon or better items that you find, or your old gear into Dust and Essences. The Dust and Essences are used in Enchanting to enchant your gear and other peoples gear. Since Enchanting is so demanded, it is also one of the most costly professions to raise. You may be dropping upwards of 2,000g on this Profession by the time you reach 450 with your skill. Below I have a list of the fastest way to level this profession. Leveling Enchanting 1 - 50 The most cost-friendly way to level enchanting from 1-50 is by disenchanting green items. If you'd rather not waste your time buying a bunch of green items and just do it the straight forward way. First you will need to make a Runed Copper Rod. Enchanting 415 - 426 Going from 415 to 426 in Enchanting will be no walk in the park and all of the enchants will be pretty expensive. I recommend you find people to put the enchants on their items for free, if they have the materials. Or sell enchants for a low amount, to get people to buy them so you can still quickly raise your skill. If you don't want it to take forever to raise your skill, follow the following path: Enchanting 415 - 420 Enchant - Materials Required:

Choosing a Second Profession A lot of people will say that Enchanting goes best with Tailoring, I strongly disagree and think it goes best with Jewel Crafting. As Enchanting and Jewel Crafting you can maximize your "Self Enchants" (More on this later). This will allow you to reach your maximum potential in both PvP and PvE. Also if you decide to raise both Jewelcrafting and Enchanting at the same time, you will be able to disenchant the rings that you make for materials with Enchanting. What you choose as your second profession is completly up to you. Extra Benefits to Enchanting Aside from just being able to enchant your armor with powerful enchants, an enchanter can also enchant his rings. You will not be able to enchant other peoples rings, but who cares! Ring Enchants woooo! If you'd like to see a list of ring enchants click here. Enchanting Profiting Enchanting is the easiest profession to profit off of. People get new gear everyday, and each peice of new gear always needs an enchant! The way to sell your enchants to others can work in one of two ways. Announce in /2 "Enchanter looking for work [Enchanting] I have (and say like, all rare recipes or most recipes, add some spice!)" Also if you're an enchanter still trying to level enchanting offer special deals like if you get a skill up you'll give the person 5-10g or even sell enchants with your mats for rediciously low prices. The second way to make money as a enchanter is still new and was recently added in the WoTLK expansion. Inscriptions can make things called Vellum's which you can enchant then put that on the auction house. |
