Malygos (Eye of Eternity)

The Eye of Eternity is a level 80 raid instance located in Coldarra of the Borean Tundra. This instance requires players to have killed at least up to Sapphiron in Naxxramas in order to enter. Sapphiron will drop the "Key to the Focusing Iris" which will allow you entry into the Eye of Eternity. There is no trash inside of the Eye of Eternity and Malygos is the only encounter. In order to start the encounter you must click on the Orb in the center of the room to summon Malygos.

The Malygos fight consists of 3 phases. The first phase is a tank and spank with a slight variant. The tank will need to face Malygos away from the raid to avoid anyone being damaged by Arcane Breath. Throughout the first phase Power Sparks will spawn and start to head towards Malygos. You'll want to kill the Power Sparks when they get a bit closer to Malygos so the DPS gets the damage buff that they grant.

If you let them get to Malygos, then he will be granted the buff instead of you. Which will be bad if he gets too many buffs. Throughout this phase Malygos will also cast Vortex's, which will spin the player around dealing damage over time then slaming him to the ground. While in the Vortex you will only be able to cast instant cast spells.

At 50% Malygos will begin Phase 2. At the very start of Phase 2 Malygos will fly up into the air, giving players 10 seconds to all out DPS him. During this phase Nexus Lords and Scions of Eternity will spawn. These two mobs are adds, which will need to be killed during this phase. Also, Protective Bubbles will spawn around the room which players will need to stack up and get inside of. As time goes on these bubbles will get smaller and smaller forcing players to eventually move.

When a Nexus Lord dies he will drop his disc on the ground. Anyone can pick up the discs on the ground, getting on a disc will allow the player to hover around. Once you're hovering around you should focus on killing the Scions of Eternity. Since you will still take Arcane Damage while on the disc you should fly high up into the air to avoid the Arcane Pulse.

Once you kill all of the NPC's phase 3 will begin. Phase 3 is a vehicle phase. You will start the phase on a flying dragon. The first and most important thing is to have everyone stack up on top of each other. The healers will need to use their AoE heals to keep everyone up, this is the most difficulty phase since the vehicle concept is hard to get a hold of quickly and effectively
