Mageweave Cloth Farming in Hinterlands and Zul'farrak

Average Gold Per Hour: 35
Level Recommended: 55
Rating: (For that level) 7/10

Mageweave Cloth is usually one of the most expensive cloths on the auction house accompanied by Runecloth and Wool. Out of the three of these clothes Mageweave is probably tied with Runecloth for the easiest to farm and shockingly it is still worth a ton of money! One of the best places I've found to farm for Mageweave Cloth is at Jintha'alor in The Hinterlands. Here you will find a bunch of trolls which are NON-Elite. Yes, that is right, NON-Elite, they used to be elite but with an older patch they are no longer elite. The good news about this is that the drop rate on them for Mageweave Cloth is still the same as if they were elite!

The trolls in Jintha'alor have about a 30% chance to drop anywhere from 1 to 4 pieces of Mageweave Cloth. What level you are will determine how fast you can kill the trolls here which, of course, will determine how much gold you will be making an hour. Aside from the Mageweave Cloth you will be finding tons of other goodies here to vendor and sell on the Auction House. These goodies include Wildvine as well as some greens which you can DE and sell for quite a bit.

Ghost Mushroom

Another perk to farming in Jintha'Alor, is if you're a Herbalist you will be able to collect Ghost Mushrooms from the cave towards the top of Jintha'Alor. Ghost Mushrooms are used in Alchemy and can be sold for quite a bit usually on the Auction House. The Ghost Mushrooms accompanied with Mageweave Cloth and Wildvine will net you quite a bit of money at the Auction House. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, in both Zul'farrak and Jintha'Alor you will want to keep your eyes out for any chests.

The Solid Chests in both of these areas will sometimes hold Mithril or Iron or which you can surprisingly sell for quite a bit on the Auction House. Of course the chests will also have some grey items, a green and generally a good amount of silver for you.

The second best place for you to farm for Mageweave Cloth is Zul'farrak which is an instance right off of Tanaris. Zul'farrak is geared towards players in their 40s and is one of the greatest places for you to find Mageweave Cloth. The reasoning for this is that 90% of the mobs in Zul'farrak are Humanoids and in their 40s which is the prime levels for Mageweave Cloth. You won't be able to solo all of Zul'farrak until at least level 60, so this location won't really shine until your later levels.
