Bloodfury Harpies - Stonetalon Mountains
Average Gold Per Hour: 25+ (Depending on Wool Cloth prices) The bloodfury harpies in Stonetalon Mountains make a great farming location for players in the high twenties or low thirties. Just west of Sun Rock Retreat you will find The Charred Vale, which is where you will want to grind on the harpies. The harpies in The Charred Vale are very easy to kill. They have both low Armor and Low HP making them exceptionally weak to any melee classes. Of course if you're a spell-slinger you will find this place rather easy too! The best thing about the harpies of The Charred Vale is the amount of them that you will find. The harpies here are all over the place in mass quantities. There are so many that a level 80 wouldn't even be able to clear them all out before they started to respawn. The items of interest that you will find from the harpies include silver, Wool Cloth and Light Feathers. Preists and Mages will need the Light Feathers for their levitation spells and people leveling Tailoring/First Aid will need the Wool Cloth.
There are two more big pluses to farming the harpies here. One is if you're a herbalist you will find quite a bit of Kingsblood and Briarthorn here. Both of these herbs are very valueable and will net you close to 1g each on the Auction House. Or if you're a miner you will find Iron Ore and Mithril Ore deposits scattered throughout The Charred Vale. One of the other good things about farming here is the chests you will find scattered throughout The Charred Vale. Generally the chests will contain a green, some silver, few herbs, some ore and some cloth... Maybe even a potion or two! Items of Interest
