The game received "average" reviews according to Metacritic. In Japan, Famitsu gave it a score of 30 out of 40. GameSpot named it the second-best Game Boy Advance game of September 2002. It was a runner-up for GameSpot's annual "Best Sports Game on Game Boy Advance" award but lost to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.
