Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Guides
This page contains a long list of all the different guides I have created for the Kingdoms of Amalur game. These guides include Leveling, Farming, Blacksmithing, Alchemy, Trainer locations, Quest guides and many many more. Before I go into the long list of guides, if you're thinking about buying Kingdoms of Amalur but need that little extra "push"; here is my complete review of the game!
I purchased Kingdoms of Amalur to get away from the usual grind I was experiencing in many different MMORPG games, just for something to do when I got bored of Everquest or Star Wars:ToR but I got so much more. Kingdoms of Amalur is probably one of the best RPGs I have played in many many years, far surpassing the Elder Scrolls and Fable series in both enjoyment and replayability. While the game brings in many new features that neither of the two aforementioned games have, it really is more like a merge of both.
The crafting system and way loot is handled in Amalur feels more Elder Scrolls to me and the questing system feels more Fable or World of Warcraftish if you will. Regardless what Kingdoms of Amalur does, works. The game is absolutely outstanding, with more than 100 hours already invested into the game I just finished it about an hour ago and I have hundreds upon hundreds of side quests left to do not including an already released Downloadable Content pack that I can purchase and continue my adventure!
When purchasing Kingdoms of Amalur I was expecting a 3 night stay in some cheap hotel away from the city to kind of "get away" but instead I got a two weeks all exclusive trip to vegas for my money (they're metaphors, of course). This game has more content in it than any other game I have ever purchased for 60 bucks. Forever more shall I be expecting games to live up to what Kingdoms of Amalur content wise.
Ontop of all the side quests and multiple factions you can follow in Kingdoms of Amalur (each with their own unique storyline) the main questline (the story) of the game is quite an interesting one too. Many games these days are putting story as an after thought or more of a backseat thought when designing games (IE Borderlands) but the story in Kingdoms of Amalur will keep you on your toes the entire time. You start with waking up from your presumed death and are dropped immediately into trouble and peril with absolutely no idea what is going on.
There is an army of -creatures- out to get you, the Tuatha, we don't know why and don't find out why until much later but there is also a group of Gnomes trying to help you, we also don't find out why until a little bit later but without ruining much of the game at all... You find out that you are the one successful resurrection from the Well of Souls! I can't really tell you anymore of the story without spoiling things so I will hold back my urge to talk about my experiences with it!
Now as many are probably curious, there has to be something I didn't enjoy about the game, right? Of course there is, but the things I disliked are really minor. Some of the voice acting I felt was a bit subpar, such as all the females in the entire game have high pitch squeeky voices? Come on, not all women are Megan Mullally! Also my only other dislike about the game was the character's eyes during the cutscenes where you speak with them. Sometimes their eyes wander or are looking up and to the right before they self correct. Something just feels off about their eyes and it was very distracting. Aside from that I give the game a solid 10/10
TL;DR - If you want a unique amazing RPG experience, probably the best RPG of the year, this is the game to buy.
Now with my review out of the way, let's take a look at all of the guides I think you will find useful when playing Kingdoms of Amalur. These guides below cover everything that I think you would need help on while playing the game. Futher down on this page I have created a quick F.A.Q guide which is mostly just there so when people google something, such as how to complete an annoying quest in the game, they can find the answer they are looking for right away instead of searching through endless forum posts of people that "don't want to say how to do it because it is a *spoiler*".
Also I have put together a few Kingdoms of Amalur Gameplay Videos. Depending on how far you've gotten and what video you choose to watch they may or may not contain spoilers.

Unlucky Charm Quest - Bug
If the Hidden Door is closing on you after you cleanse the amulet a good way to fix that is to cleanse the amulet and sprint to the door. When you get close enough use anything that makes you dash forward, Finesse and Sorcery both get something, don't know if Might does -- Just roll in anycase. But this should get you under the door before it closes. There is no other way around it, the reason it is closing on you is because you explored Syl first before doing the quest.
How do I remove the Soulbind Curse?
By completing the quest - The Lost Squad. After you acquire the curse your quest will update and have you find and drink the Soulbind Cure. The Soulbind Cure item is in your inventory under Items. It is called Mysterious Cure
How do I remove Amman's Curses?
You must complete the quest Unlucky Charm to remove these 3 annoying curses. Just track it in your log and follow each objective until you're done the quest and then just like that, the curses will be gone!
