Plane of Fire - PoP Leveling Guide

Throughout the PoP - GoD era this zone will be locked behind the Planar Progression flagging process. I'm fairly certain though that once Omens of War is released on your sever that anyone will be able to access this zone, so long as you are high enough level. If I am wrong about the expansion, please leave me a comment below and let me know during which expansion elemental planes no longer require flags on the TLPs.

The easiest part of PoFire is field 1, the area where you zone in. You'll find all sorts of enemies here between the levels 62 - 64, many of them good for soloers/kiters. If you've got a full group (or even a well geared smaller group) you'll want to move deeper into the zone.

The Jopals far in the north are plentiful and drop Tradeskill components that can be used to raise your Tinkering skill to 300. A camp that's slightly easier than the Jopals, albiet much harder to get to, is C1, aka City 1. There's two ways to get in here, the first is to cast Levitate on yourself, run up as high as you can go along the northern wall in Field 1 and float over to C1.

If you're looking at the map above, where it says 'Obsidian' Tree Spider Queen, the word Obsidian crosses over the lava and the wall of C1 on the map. If you run up to the top of the wall just north of the word 'Tree' in that same name, get into first person view and look straight up, you'll be able to Levitate over the "invisible wall" and safely make it into C1.

Field 1 Nameds:

Flame Wilder: Flame Buckled Belt, Ivory Candle Skull, Savage Platinum Fists

Wild Fiery Spirit Steed: Savage Platinum Fists, Flame Buckled Belt, Ivory Candle Skull

Jopal Tracker: Savage Platinum Fists, Flame Buckled Belt, Ivory Candle Skull

Obsidian Tree Spider Queen: Savage Platinum Fists, Flame Buckled Belt, Ivory Candle Skull

Jopal Nameds:

Jopal Seer: Knight's Gleaming Mace, Obsidian Battle Sword

Jopal Flame Protector: Knight's Gleaming Mace, Obsidian Battle Sword

Jopal Crafter: Knight's Gleaming Mace, Obsidian Battle Sword

Jopal Chieftan: Knight's Gleaming Mace, Obsidian Battle Sword

Obsidian War Spider: Knight's Gleaming Mace, Obsidian Battle Sword

There's all sorts of different camps in C1 for you to hunt at, smaller groups and soloers/duoers will want to stick to the narrow walkways along side the central town portion. Full groups will want to pull out of the middle area and out of the buildings, the enemies here will be plentiful and most of the nameds spawn in the open town square portion of this area.

At the top of C1 you'll find a mini raid named, General Druav Flamesinger. It's recommended that you avoid him unless you're boxing more than a full group or you've got a raid with you for some reason. If it's a later expansion, like OoW or even later than that - you may be able to take this guy down if you're sporting raid gear.

C1 Named Enemies:

Charmer of Fire: Basalt Bulwark, Charm of Defense, Spear of Fire

Sorcerer of Fire: Basalt Bulwark, Charm of Defense, Spear of Fire

Vicar of Fire: Basalt Bulwark, Charm of Defense, Spear of Fire

Captain of Fire: Basalt Bulwark, Charm of Defense, Spear of Fire

General Druav Flamesinger (Mini Raid Named): Lava Forged Face Guard, Ornate Greatblade, Burning Mask of Terror

Field 2 I would argue is a bit of a spike in difficulty in comparison to Field 1. The enemies here will hit a bit harder, they're a bit higher level of course and they're a bit more clumped together too I think. In the northern part of the field, there's two gazebo like structures that have the same sort of enemies that you find in C1 and C2, the Doomfire soldiers. One named spawns in these gazebos too; If you decide to camp the northern portion of this field, this makes a decent camp.

Most often though, when you see groups camping Field 2 they're sitting on the western outside edge of C2. Alongside the western wall of C2 there's a little lip where a few Doomfire enemies patrol back and forth. Only one or two of them though, which makes it one of the safest spots in this entire area, that's why most groups camp here/pull to the wall.

There's also two mini raid bosses that can roam around this area for you to keep an eye out for, Pyronis and Magmaton. It's unlikely you'll be able to defeat them with just 1 group, unless you're reading this during OoW or some later expansion and you're decked out in raid gear.... Then maybe you'll stand a chance!

Field 2 Named Enemies:

Magmaton (Mini Raid Named): Necklace of Reflected Flames, Elemental Armor Patterns

Flame Overlord: Black Rage of Flame, Flame Gilded Cloak, Mantle of Flame Wisdom

Doomfire Warmaster: Black Rage of Flame, Flame Gilded Cloak, Mantle of Flame Wisdom

Fiery Spirit Equine Overlord: Black Rage of Flame, Flame Gilded Cloak, Mantle of Flame Wisdom

Magma Overlord: Black Rage of Flame, Flame Gilded Cloak, Mantle of Flame Wisdom

Dark Obsidian Lava Spider: Black Rage of Flame, Flame Gilded Cloak, Mantle of Flame Wisdom

Pyronis (Mini Raid Named): Blackflame Sphere, Elemental Armor Patterns

C2 is probably the most famous camp in all of Planes of Power, it's got multiple locations for groups with enough mobs to keep at least three full groups satiated. To the east you'll find the famous fire tables which kiters/soloers use to hunt since it's a wide open area for you to kite around as many enemies as you can handle. There are some mobs that spawn in this area but they're super spaced out.

No mobs in C2 (except the nameds of course) summon so it's a paradise for Druids, Necromancers or any class that can kite. Also - the enemies here are humanoids which means Rangers, Rogues and Berserkers can hand out a butt whoopin with their Headshot/Assassinate/Decap line of AAs.

Many people would argue that C2 is the best experience you can possibly find between the levels of 65 - 75.

C2 Named Enemies:

Doomfire Firecharmer: Circle of Blue Flame, Manacle of the Wise

Doomfire Magus: Circle of Blue Flame, Manacle of the Wise, Silver Flame Bauble

Doomfire Reaver: Circle of Blue Flame, Manacle of the Wise, Silver Flame Bauble

Doomfire Vicar: Circle of Blue Flame, Manacle of the Wise, Silver Flame Bauble

Doomfire Warlord: Circle of Blue Flame, Manacle of the Wise

Arch Mage Yozanni (Mini Raid Named): Phoenix Claw Talisman, Elemental Armor Patterns

General Reparm (Mini Raid Named): Fiery Staff of Zha, Elemental Armor Patterns
