Progression Server Pottery Guide (Velious)
Pottery is one of the more straight-forward Tradeskills to level in EQ. It is expensive, yes and it is time consuming but there aren't many recipes you have to jump back and forth between. Also once you get your Pottery skill up you can make Golden Idols of <insert race here> which can be sold to players for usually around 2500pp. Pottery definately is a profitable Tradeskill to raise but from what I've heard it is very costly, so be warned if you're thinking about diving into it. Also, as with all other tradeskills to start off head to your Classes Guildmaster and train the first 21 points.

(Direct Route) Unfired Small Bowl 21 - 102
(Alternative Route) Unfired Medium Bowl 102 - 122
Only take this route if you're trying to maximize the profits of selling what you make to a vendor. It doesn't matter if you start off with making the large bowls or medium bowls, you will skill up at the same exact speed either way, I just prefer the large bowls because you can collect more materials for more straight combines without having to stop.
(Direct Route) Unfired Casserole Dish 122 - 199
(Alternative Route) Unfired Opal Encrusted Stein 199 - 222
If you decide to go this alternative route then you will want to make the Unfired Opal Encrusted Steins into Opal Encrusted Steins to sell for maximum profit. It is a fairly simple combine which I will explain how to do when I finish making this Pottery Guide.
(Direct Route) Unfired Red Ceramic Band 199 - 242
(Direct Route) Unfired Star Ruby Encrusted Stein 200 - 335
This is probably the best route you can follow to max out your Pottery at this point. It will be much cheaper than the Idols and you can sell the Star Ruby Encrusted Steins to boxers or to players just looking to stack resistances. Truthfully, I have seen them sell better than the Idols on some serves (Ragefire, Lockjaw) whether it be the boxers or the Mitigation of the Mighty - that's just my experience.
